Awards open for business!

18th April 2007. The London Chamber of Commerce today hosted the launch of the 2007 UK Customer Experience Awards, in association with Pipex Business.

Formerly the Service Excellence Awards and now in their 12th year, the Awards have established a reputation for rigour and integrity. Previous winners, include banking innovators First Direct, EFQM winners TNT Express Parcels and Mace, the construction and project manager experts behind projects such as Heathrow Terminal Five and the London Eye.

The 2007 Awards are bigger and better than ever. Pipex Business, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of IP services to business, are the Award’s lead sponsors. “Pipex recognizes the importance of the customer experience and our involvement with the Awards provides a great opportunity to engage with the UK’s most customer focused organisations and celebrate their achievements.” says Maria Cappella, Managing Director Pipex Business. “The Awards are unique in the efforts they go to identify and share best practices and that is good not just for Pipex Business but for UK plc as a whole. Other sponsors include telecoms supplier Cable and Wireless and IT and outsourcing specialist Unisys.

Awards are made to the leading organisations in each of six industry groups:

Every organisation that enters receives a detailed benchmark report, comparing their performance to others in their industry sector and the whole field of entrants. Described by one previous winner as “the best £195 worth of consulting ever”, the report identifies best practices and discusses issues facing those seeking to deliver superior customer experiences.

New for this year is the ‘Henley Customer Experience Leadership Award’ for an individual that has made an outstanding contribution to their organisation’s ability to consistently deliver a great customer experience. Developed in conjunction with Henley Management College, the Award recognises the important role leadership plays in building and sustaining a focus on the customer.

The Award winners will be featured in a special supplement published in The Sunday Times in November, providing entrants with great exposure and helping to spread the good practices of the UK’s leading exponents of customer experience.
